And going to the vet is nothing my darling likes anytime any day — not even when he gets admired as he did.
So we have both spent a couple of days by the fire, doing very little.

Yesterday I spent a while in the kitchen making lemon butter, as I had to use the lemons before they would dry up. I used raw sugar this time and am very pleased with the result. It tastes good — and has a lovely honey color.
Today, being Saturday, I've been checking out Gutenberg's new books.
"A Little Maid of Massachusetts Colony" (1915) by Alice Turner Curtis makes me think of "The Calico bush" by Rachel Field.
