How grateful I am for my bedroom

When I looked out of the window this morning I saw the deer family's bedroom. It's a doe with two fawns. They had already left, but we see them quite often.
I love to sleep outside — but not when it is deep snow and -20°C!

  2. Cold! I had to look that up at a Celsius to Fahrenheit converter. It would be -4F. This morning we have 12F but the weather channel says it feels like -7. A cold world. We have deer in our yard too. I've been living here thirty years and the deer just arrived about two years ago. The love my vegetable garden, alas. And make my little dog crazy. But they are so charming to see.

  3. Jodi,
yes, it is lovely to have them so close. I'll try to find some photos I took a summer when the fawns were very young.

    Val,
It is amazing, yes - but sometimes it is too cold even for them, especially when it's a lot of snow, and it is hard for them to find food.

    Kristi,
It is far too cold! And it looks as it will continue...
I love the deer - even if they love the same plants as I do!

  5. Camilla,
They are beautiful - I wonder if yours aren't bigger than ours. We have roe deer (rådjur).
