this painting has a cosy cheerful feeling for me..I wonder if it's because it's from the perspective of indoors? (or whether it's because I have a big woodstove by my seat as I type? lol)
Val, Yes, it is cheerful in spite of the fact that it is very few colors in it. It is a very inviting picture, but I think your woodstove might make it even more inviting!
Jodi, I agree!
Kristi, It looks colder here when I look out of my window - but otherwise, it is pretty much the same.
Mammka, Yes, it is very peaceful - and we all seem to feel about the same about this painting.

It is easier to say what and who I'm not. — I'm not my profession — I'm not my salay — I'm not my age — I'm not my illness — I'm not my civil status So who am I? — a person just the right size and age — an untidy pedant — a conservative radical And what do I do? — weave — read — listen to music, classical preferably baroque

SvaraRaderaI like the minimal use of color and the feeling of stillness it conveys.
SvaraRaderaIt is very like what I see outside my window, though I haven't any gray wood buildings to look at. Still, and a content feeling.
SvaraRaderaHow peaceful this picture is!
