Collecting images

The beavers are rather shy – sometimes they put on a water show, but most of the time this is all we get to see.

The nights are cold, but so far we haven't had any frost. Knowing that it soon will be to cold to spend much time out of doors, we try to store fresh air and beautiful views, so we can survive the winter.
There are still blueberries – they are easy to pick now when they have dropped their leaves.

  1. Beautiful pictures, especially the beaver-worked log. I didn't realize you had beavers in Sweden.

  2. Hi,
Your photos are worthy of being in a book, or maybe they are?
I read your comment on RandomDistractions that you hand make Christmas cards, and I find that is a lovely old fashioned thing to do.

  3. Kristi,
We live by a river, so we have quite a few beavers - which I like, even if I don't always like that they take down beautiful trees.

Welcome to my part of the blogosphere Terra,
Thanks for your kind remark regarding my photos. No they're not in a book. Some of my friends have suggested that I'll publish them - but I have no idea where to start a project like that and I have a feeling that it is something that takes more strength and energy than I have. So I'm happy to send them to friends and use them here on my blog.
I'll return to your blogs another day - it is almost bedtime here.

  4. This little red house reminds me of pictures I saw of Carl Larsson. Such a peaceful nature you live in. I love your photos with this autumnal touch...images we have to take with us, remembering them when grey, cold and wet winter days are coming. I do enjoy autumn with all its wonderful colours (but I didn't do it or realize it when I was younger ;-) !).
    Warm regards,
    Barbara
