Can't go out yet

“CAN’T GO OUT YET.”
It is pouring heavily, though the boy
with the basket does not seem to mind it.
Annie is impatient, but she must
wait till the rain is over.

From Child-Land, Picture-Pages for the Little Ones by Oscar Pletsch and M. Rictor one of today's findings at Gutenberg.

It has been raining most of the day in real life too. My darling was a bit upset about it and required that I turn it off. When I refused — as we need the rain — he decided to spend the day sleeping, in my lap with my laptop as his pillow.

The picture isn't very good as I had to use my left hand to take the photo. It also makes it rather hard to write when parts of the key-board is occupied.

Spent some time in the morning making the White Berry Pie from Allrecipe (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/White-Berry-Pie/Detail.aspx). I'll use raspberries for the topping, berries I'll pick tomorrow just before I'll serve the pie — and hope it won't rain too hard.

So far I've managed to pick about 2 l cherries and I doubt that I can get much more without breaking my neck. I listened to the radio and the rain while I pitted them — now I need to decide what to do with them....

  1. What lovely illustrations you find. Are they in books or are they prints?

I hope you will take a picture of whatever you do with the cherries.

  2. Both. I save images whenever I find something I like, many of them comes from books I find at Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.net/).
I baked with the cherries yesterday, picture and recipe follows.
