Maureen, After the very grey and wet day we have a beautiful, if somewhat cool evening. We're sitting outside the kitchen door enjoying the new moon and the lovely evening. My darling is purring in my lap - it is warm and nice but makes it rather complicated to writing. Margaretha
It is true it is all beautiful even in the rain.....We are having the same weather in Ohio. The peonies are in full glorious bloom and my daughter is doing five flower arrangements for her friends baby shower, but most of the flowers are damaged by the rain. This always happens to the peonies, which I love so. But they are still beautiful, and the farmers here have not been getting enough rain recently - unlike other parts of the country where crops have been destroyed by too much rain - so I will be happy. (In my own muddled way!)
Kristi, You are at least a couple of weeks ahead of us - we have plenty of peonies, they have all plenty of buds but are not ready to bloom yet. April was dry but this month we've had a good mix of rain and sun. I love to go out after the rain when it smells so good and everything is so fresh and lush. Margaretha

It is easier to say what and who I'm not. — I'm not my profession — I'm not my salay — I'm not my age — I'm not my illness — I'm not my civil status So who am I? — a person just the right size and age — an untidy pedant — a conservative radical And what do I do? — weave — read — listen to music, classical preferably baroque
Margaretha, they look beautiful even in the rain.
