Snowbound

The illustration by Marcus Waterman is from
Nathaniel Hawthorn's book
"The Snow-Image A Childish Miracle"

It snowed all day yesterday — so I had to cancel the appointment with the vet, for the third time! The "snowman" who clears our driveway, just left — unfortunately he was 24 hours late. We're the last house on his route, so this is not the first time I've had to change my plans as we've been snowbound.
I'm sure the darling didn't mind!
It's amazing how a small cat can move the furniture in a room when he gets bored.

  2. Jodi,
I heard something fall five o'clock this morning when the darling probably was having some kind of steeplechase. Perhaps I should go and investigate...

  3. We awoke to the sight of a wooden chair that had fallen backwards into a glass-fronted cabinet. Fortunately (for them) the glass was not broken or even cracked. I also have to hide any vase of flowers before I go to bed, since my kitties consider them a midnight snack. My daughter likes to say, "Nice house, or cats--we chose cats." :-)

  4. Jodi,
It's not even a hard choice!

  5. Dear Margaretha, thank you for leaving a comment on my blog - and yes, you are right, your cat looks like it could be a sibling of mine! Your blog looks very interesting. I like the article about the "How to run a store", it sounds like a book I'd enjoy reading.

  6. Dear Librarian,
It's nice to see you here in my corner of the blogosphere.
Project Gutenberg has sooo many interesting books - one lifetime isn't enough to read a fraction of them!
