Sarah, Thank you for your comment, which I found very interesting as we weren't quite sure where those cups came from. It says "made in Japan" under the saucers but we have wondered whether they we're bought in Sweden or the States. My grandmother were born in Sweden but emigrated when she was 17, so she probably bought the china there and gave either to her mother or to one of her sisters. Isn't it interesting how you find missing pieces for your life's jig saw puzzle, on the web! Margaretha
